Fountain Valley
Serving the Children of the World

Our club is involved in a variety of projects that involve fundraising, community service, and assisting children locally and worldwide.  Below are the projects in which we are currently involved.

Service Projects:

  • Brittany's Closet- Our semi-annual outing where we take kids in need shopping for new school clothes and also gear for the winter

  • Project FAVORS- At least one Saturday per month, Kiwanians roll up their sleeves to help residents with light house cleaning or yard work. The volunteer work includes window washing, vacuuming, trash removal, raking leaves and pulling weeds.

  • Berger ScholarshipDr. Paul Berger was the first principle of Fountain Valley High School. Dr. Berger then organized the Kiwanis Club of Fountain Valley. Dr. Berger went on to become the chancellor of the Coast Community College District. Dr. Berger passed away in January of 2005, but in his memory we offer scholarships to local students.

Fundraising Projects:

  • Pins for Kids- Each year 60 teams sign up at the annual Pins For Kids bowling fundraising event held each August to the Kiwanis Club of Fountain Valley and their commitment to support the Boys and Girls Clubs of Fountain Valley and Huntington Beach.
  • Mr. Fountain Valley Pageant- Since the inception of the Mr. Fountain Valley Pageant in 2012, the Kiwanis Club of Fountain Valley has sent a member of the club member to face the crowd to dance, strut, and generally make a fool of themselves.
